What's up people? My name is Dan! Here are some facts about me:

I can't be sure where my education will take me, but I hope to graduate as a Political Science major with a minor in Gender Studies and perhaps something else. I want to spend a semester studying abroad in Sweden my junior year and I plan to learn sign language in my senior year through a program with UVM. If you come here for a visit or to go to school, you will realize that the Burlington area is the central resource here for students. You can find anything you want here. I have had food from many cultures, met people from all over the world, and gone to events held by the myriad non-profit and service groups in Chittenden County. Vermont has the highest rate of per capita non-profits in the country, so if you care about anything, you can probably intern with an organization that supports your interest. Personally, I'm involved in the following social justice clubs:

In addition to political activism, I'm a member of Mike Check, our all-male a capella group. I love to write and draw and I've been exploring painting more since being at school. I love to bike in the area in the nice weather and I happen to be one of the few non-avid snowboarders within 20 miles. Music is my passion, and so I find myself going to concerts as much as possible. I usually go to Higher Ground, the largest concert venue in the state. This last year I've seen State Radio, Foxy Shazam, and Trevor Hall twice. My radio show with Dom Wood, Bad News Beards, runs Noon-2 every Friday on our college station, 88.7 The Mike (click here to stream online!)
